Sandhills Early Childhood Centre is a council-operated 59-place centre in the heart of Byron Bay with natural and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces abundant with trees, wildlife, garden beds, rockeries and grassed areas. We are looking for: We are seeking exceptional Early Childhood Educators and Trainee Early Childhood Educators to help deliver a nurturing, creative, engaging, and intentional program that enhances children’s learning and development, strengthens partnerships with families, and aligns with the National Quality Framework. Positions available: A permanent part-time position (4 days per week) is available, and we are looking for a nurturing and skilled educator to work with infants and toddlers throughout 2026 . While this role will be primarily focused on this age group during 2026, the successful applicant will have future opportunities to work with children of all age groups within the centre. This is a Certificate III Educator position , with an hourly rate of $30.72–$35.59 , depending on experience and qualifications, plus a worker retention payment of approximately $3 per hour . Trainee Early Childhood Educator - a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and complete your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through a supported traineeship. No prior qualifications are required – just a positive attitude and commitment to completing the Certificate III. Trainee rates will apply.
