What will you do? As Psychologist/Social Worker in the CIT Counselling team you will be providing therapeutic counselling to students on a broad range of personal and/or study-related issues, providing consultations and training to staff on student-related issues and participating in mental health promotion events. The roles may require working across CIT locations. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Applicants need to have extensive demonstrated experience in therapeutic counselling applying evidence-based approaches. They should possess the ability to be patient, calm, flexible, have good administration skills and establish rapport with diverse students and staff. Mandatory qualifications and/or registrations/licencing: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology/Social work and at least 3 years’ experience in therapeutic counselling. For Psychologists: Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (Psychology Board of Australia). For Social Workers: Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. This position is part-time at 29:24 hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
