Skillforce Recruitment are currently recruiting for Constructions Labourers for our valued client that has some ongoing work based in the Mandurah Area. We are seeking dedicated and hardworking construction labourers to join our Clients team. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in supporting various construction projects by performing a range of physical tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring that the worksite remains organised and safe. Your commitment to safety and quality workmanship will directly impact the efficiency and success of our clients projects. Key Responsibilities Site Preparation and Cleanup: Clear and prepare construction sites before, during, and after project completion, removing debris and hazardous materials to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas using appropriate handling techniques. Assistance to Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other craft workers with their tasks, which may include holding materials, setting up equipment, and general assistance. Equipment Operation: Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, drills, saws, jackhammers, etc.) and potentially heavy machinery (if qualified) safely and effectively as directed by supervisors. Temporary Structure Work: Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, formwork, ramps, and barricades. Manual Labour Tasks: Perform physical tasks such as digging trenches, backfilling holes, mixing and pouring concrete, and spreading and leveling soil or gravel. Safety and Compliance: Strictly follow all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately. Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with supervisors and other team members to ensure tasks align with project goals and timelines. Required Qualifications and Skills Physical Stamina: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads (up to 40 pounds or more), bending, kneeling, and working in various weather conditions. Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to completing assigned tasks. Safety-Conscious: A solid understanding of workplace safety and a commitment to adhering to safety rules. Teamwork and Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Basic Knowledge of Tools: Familiarity with basic hand and power tools and a willingness to learn how to operate new equipment.
