In this rewarding role, as The Funeral Director’s Assistant, you will support the on-site team in delivering funeral services to the community. The role responsibilities: Assist with funeral services, viewings, transfers and associated rituals, ensuring every detail is handled with care and professionalism; Handle deceased persons with dignity, respect and in accordance with workplace hygiene and infection control procedures; Provide mortuary assistance, including preparation, lifting and maintaining cleanliness of work areas and equipment; Inspect, clean and maintain vehicles, facilities and equipment to company standards; Adhere to all company policies, procedures and health, safety and risk management requirements; Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy and sensitivity, respecting diverse cultural and religious practices; Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster teamwork, professionalism and a positive workplace culture; and Contribute to business improvement by supporting efficiency, quality service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
