About us: Are you a passionate, results-driven WHS leader ready to shape safety culture across Australia and New Zealand? We’re looking for a WHS & Compliance Manager to drive initiatives that protect our people, ensure compliance, and create proactive safety solutions across transport, logistics, warehousing, retail, and office environments. Drive WHS Strategy & Compliance Ensure all WHS policies meet local, state, and federal regulations, conducting regular reviews to maintain best practice. Create our Risk Registers, ensuring annual reviews and implementation of preventative control measures. Collaborate with Commercial and Transport teams to develop high-risk SWMS for projects. Incident & Risk Management Investigate accidents and injuries, implementing corrective and preventative measures. Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards. Provide monthly safety reports, monitoring performance against WHS plans and KPIs. Partner with leaders to reduce workplace incidents through proactive initiatives. Training, Development & Leadership Advise, train, and guide managers on WHS policies, programs, and practices. Identify long-term strategic opportunities for WHS development. Ensure contractor compliance and maintain up-to-date WHS training records for all business units. Workers Compensation & Injury Management Actively manage claims and return-to-work processes in partnership with leadership and brokers. Implement strategies to reduce workers compensation premiums and improve workplace injury management outcomes. Donesafe WHS System Management Serve as the primary custodian of Donesafe, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents. Ensure reportable incidents are recorded within 8 hours, with follow-ups completed within a week. Oversee WHS system modules, including training records, compliance checklists, and toolbox meetings. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent experience). Certifications in Building Fire Safety, Rehabilitation & Return to Work, and Advanced First Aid. Strong knowledge of WHS compliance, workers compensation law, and COR legislation. Strategic thinker who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and solve complex challenges. Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills – ability to influence and educate at all levels. Tech-savvy & systems-driven, with experience managing or implementing WHS software. Prior transport industry experience (preferred) with a deep understanding of HVN Legislation & COR compliance.
