The Wattle Hotel is a busy and well-loved venue on the Gold Coast, known for its welcoming atmosphere, great food, and lively entertainment. We’re seeking an experienced Hotel/Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the venue. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations across bar, bistro, gaming, and functions Supervise and motivate front-of-house teams to deliver outstanding customer service Manage cash handling, reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting Ensure compliance with RSA, RCG, and venue licensing requirements Coordinate staff rosters, training, and performance management Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and incidents professionally Uphold WHS, security, and venue cleanliness standards Support senior management in achieving business and service goals About You Previous experience in a similar Hotel or Duty Manager role (hospitality group experience preferred) Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach Solid understanding of gaming operations, bar service, and compliance obligations Current RSA and RCG certifications (QLD) Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and public holidays Positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality What We Offer Competitive remuneration package superannuation Ongoing professional development and internal career growth opportunities Supportive management team within a leading hotel group Dynamic and friendly work environment Permanent full time role with a starting salary of $76K - $80K Salary (plus super).
