We are seeking a SLC to lead our Arts team. Key Responsibilities of this role Lead the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality arts education and school-wide events that celebrate student creativity and foster community engagement. Oversee the planning and execution of major school events, including assemblies, showcases, cultural celebrations, and community functions and communications, ensuring they reflect the school’s values and diversity. Support staff through evidence informed PLCs to integrate arts-based pedagogies into curriculum and co-curricular activities, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. Manage resources, budgets, and logistics related to arts programs and events, ensuring effective use of facilities, equipment, and funding. Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and respect by mentoring staff and students, modelling professional practice, and encouraging reflective and responsive approaches to teaching and event management. Undertake a teaching load which is complementary to the needs of the school Eligibility/Other requirements: A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification. Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or eligibility to obtain TQI . Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
