As a Security/Orderly Officer, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of the Health Unit - where your professionalism and compassion help ensure every person feels safe and cared for. About the Role: As the Security/Orderly Officer , you’ll deliver a combination of security and patient care services that support the effective, efficient, and safe functioning of the Health Unit. You’ll assist clients with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring their safety and wellbeing in line with hospital policies and procedures. A key part of your role will involve responding calmly to challenging situations, including assisting with the de-escalation of aggressive or agitated behaviour to maintain a peaceful and safe environment. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll use sound judgement, clear communication, and the correct methods and equipment to uphold the highest standards of safety, dignity, and care for all. What We’re Looking For: Current South Australian Security Agent Licence Demonstrated experience in security roles. Demonstrated experience in dealing with a wide range of people including the de-escalation of violent, aggressive and/or agitated people. Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft 365. Demonstrated experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
