THE ROLE Reporting to the Manager, Policy and Improvement, the Policy Officer supports the development of policy and projects on information sharing and MARAM policy. The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise sound judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Support policy and project development, consultation, advice and delivery of the Policy and Improvement team's program of work. Undertake research and environmental scans to provide proactive policy advice and reasoned recommendations to support innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues. * Support the development of policy and program initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.
