In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff at the Woman’s & Children's Hospital. You’ll be responsible for a range of cleaning and patient services while ensuring high standards of confidentiality, empathy, and courtesy. You must be available to work a rotating roster across seven days, with shifts starting at 7am and 11am. Typically, the roster includes two weekends on and two weekends off per month. What you’ll do: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including floor care, high dusting, spot cleaning of walls, doors, internal glass, bathrooms, toilets, fixtures, and vents. Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning and toilet requisites are available. Follow Infection Control policies and procedures diligently. Respond promptly to service requests using hand-held devices. Pick up and return equipment, blood, and pharmacy products as directed. Manage patient transfers Deliver patient meals and manage linen and other supplies. What you’ll bring: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or Health Support Services (preferred but not essential). Previous experience in a Patient Support Assistant (PSA) role or similar (preferred). Experience in a healthcare environment (desirable). Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and procedures. Understanding of workplace health and safety practices. Knowledge of infection control principles and procedures. Competency in reading and writing English. Strong customer service and safety focus.
