Internal opportunities within the Parents as Partners Program 3x Part-time positions (38 hours per fortnight), Max term until 30 June 2026 Based in Broadmeadows Your new role As a Parent Mentor, you will assist in the development and operation of the Parents as Partners program activities and serve as a parenting mentor to consumers in the Family Services Program. Some of your responsibilities will include: Attending home visits to support Family Services Practitioners to engage with families. Assisting parents to access other community supports and services as appropriate. Maintaining associated administrative tasks related to the Parenting as Partners Pilot. Attending Care Teams as a support person as appropriate. Role-Modelling and mentoring positive parenting to families All parent mentors will have lived experience of being supported by family services or other support services. Your skills and experience Have lived experience of being a parent and have received a service through family services, Child Protection or other community programs. Current driver’s license valid in Victoria Personal Attributes: Verbal ability: Open, honest, articulate and flexible approach to communication – written and verbal. The ability to actively listen. Interpersonal focus: Strong interest in people and respect for others. The ability to suspend judgement.
