What we are looking for: Join our Governance team in a dynamic rotational role with a core focus on supporting Council meetings. As Meeting Secretary, you’ll prepare agendas, minutes and reports that keep Council decision-making running smoothly. Alongside this, you’ll rotate through other key governance functions, including delegations, insurance, and elected member compliance - giving you variety, exposure, and the opportunity to grow your skills across the breadth of corporate governance. We’re looking for a detail-driven team player who thrives on collaboration, adapts quickly, and enjoys working on diverse tasks that make a real impact on good governance. What your day will look like: Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports; ensure compliance with Council’s procedures and act as minute secretary for Council meetings and other corporate meetings as required. Oversee insurance activities, including notifying insurers, managing claims, and ensuring timely payments. Maintain systems for councillor compliance, including the Register of Interests and Related Parties. Respond to customer requests from internal and external stakeholders. Provide advice to senior staff on report writing and resolution drafting for meetings and compliance matters. Please click here to view a full position description . What you’ll need for success: Diploma (AQF level 5 or above) in Business, Administration or equivalent and/or equivalent experience in a corporate governance field. What’s nice to have: Extensive experience in governance matters including corporate reporting, delegations, meeting administration and secretarial duties.
