About the role Reporting to the General Manager – Safety, this pivotal role will see you lead a talented team and partner closely with operational leaders across freshwater, processing, land-based and marine operations. As Senior Manager – Safety, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the next phase of the company’s safety journey, embedding best in class frameworks, lifting capability, and driving genuine cultural change. This is a high-impact role suited to a confident, strategic leader who can influence at all levels and translate safety principles into practical, measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities Lead, coach and develop a team Partner with site and operational leaders to strengthen safety capability, culture and performance. Support the rollout of a major safety infrastructure transformation. Develop, maintain and embed WHS systems and initiatives that enhance both physical and psychological safety. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and standards while promoting proactive risk management and early intervention. Act as a visible, credible and trusted leader who inspires commitment to safety excellence. About you You’re a proactive and values-led safety professional who thrives in dynamic operational environments. You combine technical knowledge with strong leadership, influence and the ability to drive real change. Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent) is essential; a Degree in WHS is highly regarded. Additional qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and/or Lead Auditor in WHS will be valued. Proven experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or other complex, multi-site blue-collar environments. Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to ‘manage up’ and communicate the commercial and cultural value of effective safety. A forward-thinking mindset with a genuine desire to make safety personal, visible and embedded at every level.
