Must have hands-on project experience with OT and SCADA systems within the utilities industry 3 months CONTRACT with potential extension Hybrid working arrangement (3 days onsite in Melbourne CBD ) Daily rate: Open to discuss ROLE OVERVIEW We're seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the delivery of a critical SCADA modernisation initiative within a leading utilities and energy environment . This role will be instrumental in shaping the business case, defining requirements, and ensuring alignment between operational technology (OT), digital systems, and enterprise objectives. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and project teams to translate complex technical and operational needs into actionable solutions that enable smarter network operations and greater reliability. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Lead the development of detailed business cases for SCADA and related OT upgrade projects , including defining scope, identifying benefits, and conducting financial and strategic analysis. Facilitate workshops and working group sessions with key business and technical stakeholders across multiple concurrent projects. Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements, risks, assumptions, and success measures in line with program objectives. Ensure stakeholder engagement and formal endorsement of requirements and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Support governance and assurance activities within broader Digital Transformation and Program Management frameworks . Maintain and manage Agile delivery artefacts (Scrum/Kanban boards) and assist in progress tracking and reporting through Jira . Partner with technical, operational, and finance teams to ensure the solution design aligns with both business strategy and compliance obligations. MORE ABOUT YOU Proven background as a Business Analyst within the utilities, energy, or operational technology (OT) sectors. Experience working with SCADA systems Skilled in preparing comprehensive business cases and presenting data-driven recommendations to executive stakeholders. Strong facilitation, communication, and documentation skills with a structured and analytical mindset. Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
