The key duties of the position include The Role The key duties and responsibilities of this role are: Contributing to procurement and contract management activities whilst ensuring compliance with legislation and policy. Assisting in the preparation of contracting correspondence and documentation. Assisting with the provision of advice relating to procurement, legal, and financial issues. Understanding the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and other relevant legislation and policies. Building and sustaining productive relationships with stakeholders of various natures. Assisting with the assessment of commercially-relevant risks and support implementation of mitigation strategies. Preparing appropriate schedules for recurring contracting activities. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team Located within the Navy Aviation Systems Program Office (NASPO), the Commercial Management Section (CMS) is a tight-knit and motivated team that provides commercial support to wider NASPO, the Romeo Enterprise Office (REO), and the Fleet Air Arm (FAA), covering: Procurement Contract management Governance and policy compliance, and Export control compliance. The Commercial Support Coordinator is an integral position within CMS and the successful candidate will find themselves within a supportive team environment.
