BRIEF DESCRIPTION Working in the Industry Liaison team and reporting directly to the Manager, Industry Liaison drawing on your existing knowledge of the electrotechnical industry, the HSEQ Advisor plays a key role in supporting NECA Victoria’s commitment to workplace safety and compliance for its members and staff. This role ensures NECA meets its legislative obligations under relevant OH&S and risk management frameworks and provides expert guidance across the membership to foster a proactive safety culture. The HSEQ Advisor services several areas of the industry including technical, OH&S, member support and stakeholder liaison, along with a particular emphasis on electrical contracting, industry innovation and renewable energy fields. TECHNICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Management Team to implement a range of quality OH&S and procedures across the organisation and its membership, including the maintenance of OHS systems.Provide OH&S and some risk management support to NECA Members by facilitating risk assessments and providing guidance and training on OH&S and risk management procedures and perform a quality assurance function for risk assessments.In conjunction with the Manager, Industry Liaison produce useful timely OH&S and risk reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Council’s Audit and Risk Committee.Support organisational development and continuous improvement initiatives for NECA members.Develop and create written mitigation and/or prevention plans documenting the management of psychosocial risk and hazards. This includes hazard identification, risk assessment, implementation of control measures, and a cycle of review. Working collaboratively this will extend towards consulting with organisations and their employees to implement controls as related to improving work design, training programs and addressing positive duty obligations.Work cooperatively and ensure positive communication and relationships with the membership and all staff across all departments. Assist in the development, implementation and review of OH&S policies and procedures and systems that incorporate the housing of HSEQ documents such as TRAK, Sitemate/Dashpivot.Emergency Management Support as required.Assist the wider Technical and Liaison Team to provide support Assist in the development, implementation, and review of OH&S policies, procedures, and systems (using Trak and SiteMap).Maintain and update OH&S registers and documentation, including proactive maintenance of the HSEQ library.Facilitate and provide training and guidance on OH&S practices.Present at training sessions and seminars • Support continuous improvement initiatives. Promote positive communication and collaboration across all teams. Ensure accurate records management in line with NECA policies.Assist with return-to-work programs and resolution of safety-related grievances. Assist with technical advice for members
