Job description About the Organisation SecondBite | FareShare is a leading food rescue organisation tackling food insecurity and food waste. Their Meals for the Mob program provides culturally safe, community-led food relief in partnership with First Nations communities. They are seeking a First Nations Community Engagement Officer to help strengthen relationships with Community across QLD. Make an impact in this role by ensuring communities get the food and support they need and that reflect Community priorities. The emphasis is on engagement, collaboration, and advocacy — helping Communities feel confident, included, and empowered. In this Identified role, you will: Build strong, respectful partnerships with First Nations organisations and leaders. Support Community and activities that celebrate Culture and bring people together. Share feedback from Community with the team so food and support is aligned to needs. Ensure food reaches communities smoothly by coordinating distribution and supporting partner agencies. We’re looking for someone with: Strong community engagement and relationship skills.
