Dog Groomer – Casual $35 p/hr (1 Day/Week to Start) Location: Stapylton, Northern Gold Coast Business: GC Dog Co About Us GC Dog Co is a friendly, female-led dog grooming and daycare business based on the Gold Coast. We’re passionate about creating a calm, supportive environment for dogs and their humans alike. Our team takes pride in our quality grooms, genuine care, and focus on each dog’s wellbeing - not just their appearance. We’re growing steadily and are now looking for an experienced groomer to join our small team to help with overflow bookings and provide support to our lead groomer. About the Role This role will start with 1 day per week , with the view to grow into 2–3 days per week as bookings increase (and the option to move onto permanent part-time or full-time, as the business grows). You’ll be responsible for providing full grooming services (baths, clips, trims, desheds, tidy-ups, etc.) to our regular clients and new customers, working independently within our existing team structure. You’ll also occasionally step in to cover extra days when our lead groomer is on leave. We’re looking for someone who values kindness, teamwork, and a calm, stress-free grooming environment - both for the dogs and for our people. Responsibilities Provide high-quality grooming services across a variety of breeds and coat types. Communicate clearly with clients about grooming requirements and coat maintenance. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised grooming area. Support and collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Follow GC Dog Co’s animal welfare and safety protocols. What We’re Looking For Professional grooming experience (preferably in a salon environment) Ability to groom at least 4-6 dogs per day Confident in handling a variety of dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Gentle handling approach and commitment to dog wellbeing Good time management and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer A supportive, friendly workplace where your wellbeing matters.
