Browns Scrap Metal Services located at Gepps Cross, is a proud family owned and operated business currently seeking a full-time yard hand / forklift driver. We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and energetic professional to join our growing family. With exceptional growth forecasted, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and step into new roles within the business as it expands. Successful applicants will receive on the job training, so no prior experience in scrap metal is necessary. Duties will include but are not limited to; Forklift Operation. General Yard Duties Interaction with Residential and Commercial customers helping to unload and sort their materials. Repetitive manual work including heavy lifting and assorting miscellaneous materials. Maintenance and cleaning of the recycling yard. Assisting others where required. Use of power tools and heavy machinery. The successful candidate will possess the following; Current Forklift licence (LF). Must have a good customer service understanding and skill set Must have a can-do mindset and be open to continued change and learning. Must have a good work ethic, be punctual, reliable and well presented Have knowledge and understand safety in the workplace Physically capable to perform manual labouring tasks.
