TGE is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our busy PUD Operation at our depot in Mackay. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll be the driving force behind our transport operations — managing drivers, coordinating fleet scheduling, and ensuring our vehicles run safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll lead a team that keeps our customers’ freight moving and our operations running like clockwork. What You’ll Be Doing Oversee daily fleet operations, scheduling, and dispatch for optimal utilisation. Lead and support a team of professional drivers and operations staff. Manage vehicle maintenance and compliance under CoR and NHVAS requirements. Champion safety and ensure all operations meet company and legal standards. Work closely with other depots and departments to drive performance and efficiency. Use data and telematics insights to improve fleet productivity and reduce downtime. About You You’re a confident communicator and problem-solver with a strong background in transport or fleet management. You enjoy leading people, solving challenges on the fly, and finding smarter ways to get the job done. You’ll bring: 5 years’ experience in fleet, logistics, or transport operations management. Strong understanding of CoR, NHVAS, and transport compliance. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent planning, communication, and decision-making ability. Proficiency with transport management systems and MS Office. Bonus points if you have: A Certificate IV or Diploma in Transport & Logistics. Experience in bulk haulage, heavy vehicles, or similar operations.
