The opportunity Workskills Tasmania is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in driving program success, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across our employment and community services. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will foster a success-oriented, accountable environment that empowers teams to deliver quality outcomes for participants, employers, and stakeholders across Southern Tasmania. In this strategic leadership position, you will: Provide exceptional leadership, mentoring and support to Program Managers to ensure high performance and strong participant outcomes. Drive the achievement of performance benchmarks through effective leadership and operational oversight. Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic and business plans. Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring compliance with all contractual and statutory obligations. Lead business development initiatives and strengthen relationships with key government, business, and community stakeholders. Oversee quality assurance, continuous improvement, and workforce development initiatives. Represent Workskills in external forums, enhancing the organisation’s brand and community presence. About you You are an inspiring, values-driven leader with a proven track record of achieving success through people, performance, and purpose. Proven senior leadership experience in the employment services sector. Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate and develop high-performing teams. Financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets and achieving performance targets. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders. A collaborative and hands‑on approach to leadership, driving compliance, quality and continuous improvement. Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Tertiary qualifications in management or a related discipline. Provision of a current satisfactory National Police Check, and Tasmanian registration to Work with Vulnerable People (child related activity). Current Drivers Licence.
