Position Summary: As a Drainer at South West Earthmoving, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining drainage systems in line with project plans and industry standards. This includes work on stormwater, sewer, and subsoil drainage systems for residential, commercial, and civil infrastructure projects. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Read and interpret site plans, specifications, and drainage diagrams. Install and maintain underground stormwater, sewerage, and subsoil drainage systems. Excavate and prepare trenches using manual tools or earthmoving machinery. Position and install pipes, pits, and drainage components accurately to specification. Backfill and compact trenches, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards. Identify and resolve drainage-related issues on-site. Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently. Maintain worksite safety, cleanliness, and compliance with WHS regulations. Collaborate with supervisors, site managers, and team members to meet project deadlines. Conduct pre-start checks and basic maintenance of plant and equipment where applicable. Skills & Experience Required: Relevant qualifications Proven experience as a Drainer in the civil construction or earthmoving sector. Sound understanding of drainage systems and relevant installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
