Position Summary The Steward assists the Chief Steward and Stewarding Supervisors on the daily operations of the department. The individual is responsible for maintaining an organized, clean and sanitized Food and Beverage back-of-house, Kitchens and Loading Dock. The Role Performs the daily tasks of the department including opening and closing shift duties. To collect, separate and recycle regularly waste from throughout the hotel including designated back of house lift landing areas and pantries. Responsible for making sure all plates, glasses, bowls and silverware are perfectly cleaned between uses. Ensure the kitchen and storage areas are kept clean at all times. This includes cleaning industrial kitchen appliances, such as stoves, grills, freezers and ovens etc. Responsible for organizing, cleaning and sanitizing the back-of-house Food & Beverage area and providing all outlets and functions with clean operating equipment. Report any issue or damages and breakdowns within working areas and the hotel to ensure a defect-free facilities and service amenities provided. Talent Profile General Education Certificate / Diploma. Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resort. Working knowledge of chemical and cleaning machinery is of advantage.
