About the Role: As Assistant Lodge Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in day-to-day lodge operations, ensuring guests experience the highest level of service, comfort, and connection to the surrounding environment. Supporting the Lodge General Manager, you’ll lead a close-knit, passionate team and help shape unforgettable ‘bucket-list’ experiences for every visitor. From managing staff and guiding tours, to ensuring top-notch hospitality and championing conservation efforts – no two days will be the same. What’s on Offer: Competitive salary: $70,000 – 80,000 (negotiable based on experience) Free self-contained accommodation duty meals Food allowance: $500/month Incredible lifestyle: Breathe fresh air, explore ancient landscapes, and work where others holiday Key Responsibilities: Lead and support a high-performing lodge team across all departments Deliver a warm, high-quality guest experience from check-in to departure Ensure smooth daily operations, including food & beverage, housekeeping, and guest services Oversee stock control, maintenance, safety, and lodge standards Host and guide guest tours and activities Assist in recruitment, staff training, and performance management Provide crucial support to the General Manager with administration, planning, and reporting Act as On-Call Manager during GM absence Work closely with the Conservation and Sustainability teams to support 4Cs initiatives What We’re Looking For: Strong background in hospitality, tourism, or lodge management Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Passion for nature, guest service, and authentic experiences High level of organisation, adaptability, and attention to detail Comfortable working remotely and in a small, close-knit team ✅ Required Qualifications: Valid driver’s licence (own vehicle desirable) First Aid and CPR (HLTAID011 & HLTAID009) RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) National Police Clearance Willingness to obtain SA Driver Accreditation MR Licence – desirable Join a company that’s as passionate about creating life-changing experiences as it is about preserving the natural world.
