The Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and leading a broad, multi-disciplinary team across Operations & Maintenance, the position provides strategic direction and leadership to ensure the efficient and effective operation of SA Water’s infrastructure and business operations across the state. This includes responsibility for production and treatment, field operations, River Murray operations, maintenance and operational performance. The role will drive customer‑centric service delivery, optimise operational planning, and embed safety, reliability and innovation across the network. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager will also play an active role in shaping corporate strategy, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver value for money services to customers and communities. This max term opportunity is available for three years. About You You’re an accomplished executive leader with strong operational and technical expertise, ideally gained in large, complex utility or infrastructure environments. You’ve led diverse teams across broad geographic areas, combining commercial insight with a leadership style that puts people at the centre. You understand that high performance comes from engaged, supported teams. You lead with empathy, build trust, and create environments where people feel valued, heard, and empowered to do their best work.
