Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with restaurant standards and menu requirements. Maintain consistency in portioning, flavour, and presentation across all food items. Chopping, slicing, baking, frying, grilling, boiling and seasoning food Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and daily specials in collaboration with the Head Chef. Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels, assist in stock control, and report shortages or maintenance issues promptly. Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth daily operations. Support the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff when required. Skills & Experience Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification. Proven experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally within a restaurant or club environment. Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, portion control, and menu presentation. Strong understanding of Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Food Safety Standards. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills. Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays. Why Join Fin and Scales?
