Under the direction of the Senior Security Officer, the Security Officer supports all functions of the management of the NACC's protective security measures, including functions and arrangements as required by the Australian Government's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and will support the management of the physical security of the NACC's properties. The key duties of the position include The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Senior Security Officer. Key activities of this position include: Supporting the agencies on-boarding process for employees and contractors. Contribute to the review and ongoing maintenance of security clearances with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). Providing guidance to staff and developing instructional materials on all aspects of protective security, including supporting the delivery of security awareness training. Supporting security investigations in response to any security breaches or incidents. Internal and external stakeholder engagement in support of the management of the NACC's facilities and properties. Contributing to the management of all electronic security systems across the Commission including CCTV, electronic access control, and key management systems. Providing support to the Commission's guard force across all locations. Participate in an on-call after-hours roster which may include after-hours attendance. The NACC is a small agency. In addition to these activities, from time to time you may be asked to undertake tasks that are outside your usual span of duties but that are within the range of your capabilities.
