The key duties of the position include The Role The acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines is an historic and transformative endeavour for Australia. The whole-of-nation effort to safely and securely deliver the cutting edge nuclear-powered submarine program will transform Australia's economic and national security landscape for decades to come. The Assistant Director Internal Audit will be responsible for managing the ASA Internal Audit Forward Work Program with the assistance of our contracted Internal Audit Service Provider. Key duties of the role include: Working with the Internal Audit Service Provider to manage internal audits and continually mature the Internal Audit Framework and function Be the primary liaison point for ANAO Performance Audits Manage Internal Audit, ANAO Audit and Parliamentary Committee Recommendations through to closure Provide advice and briefings to the ASA Chief Audit Executive and other senior executives on all aspects of the function Prepare reports and briefs for Senior Committees including the Executive Committee and the Audit and Risk Committee Contract management for the Internal Audit Service Provider. About our Team The Corporate Governance, Integrity and Facilities Branch enables the delivery of the Nuclear Powered Submarine Program through supporting ASA senior leadership group to ensure that strategy, capability and resources align with ASA's intended results and outcomes. Key activities of the Branch include: Internal Audit Fraud and Corruption prevention, detection and response, including the ASA Fraud and Corruption Control Plan Secretariat for the ASA Senior Committees Corporate Risk Management The ASA Corporate Plan Facilities Management Certain Integrity functions including Conflicts of Interest.
