Our client is looking for a technically strong Accountant who will work closely with the CFO. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to manage financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Description Prepare and manage financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards. Oversee and maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support business decisions. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes. Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide insights. Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors. Provide advice and recommendations on financial matters to senior management. Profile A successful Accountant should have: A relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification (or working towards). Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems. Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
