Position Overview Lead a high-performing team of development assessment officers to deliver timely, accurate, and impactful assessments Champion continuous improvement and innovation in planning processes Provide expert advice to Council leadership and external stakeholders on complex planning matters Foster a collaborative, supportive team culture that encourages professional growth Ensure compliance with planning legislation while delivering exceptional customer service Represent Council in legal proceedings as required Candidate Profile We are seeking an experienced candidate who is passionate about urban planning and dedicated to making a difference in our community. Your background in development assessment, combined with your strong leadership skills, will drive our team to new heights. Tertiary qualifications in City Planning, Urban & Regional Planning, or a related field Proven experience in development assessment and team leadership Strong knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and NSW Land & Environment Court processes Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills A strategic mindset with the ability to solve problems and deliver clear, concise planning advice A current Class C Driver’s Licence and General Construction Induction Card (NSW) If you possess a commitment to excellence and a desire to foster a positive team culture, we want to hear from you.
