Site Manager - Operations and Maintenance (O&M) We are looking for a dedicated Site Manager with a strong electrical background to oversee the operations and maintenance of our solar plant projects. The position This position is a hands-on management position responsible for the day-to-day management and operational excellence of the nominated sites and teams. This position is responsible for delivering the operational scope efficiently and with respect to safety, budget, and time. This role is accountable for effective communication with external stakeholders including owners, clients, regulatory stakeholders. Accountabilities Promote and lead a Safety Culture towards Zero Harm, ensuring adherence and compliance to all site and business safety requirements. Interfacing with the Client and other stakeholders on coordination of activities, including the management of required documentation (work permit, SWMS, etc.) Supervision and coordination of the activities by technicians and contractors, including supervision of compliance with all WHSE requirements Ensuring all site and companywide KPI'S are met including all compliance inspections are completed as per requirements Preparation of reports to the Client (Routine, ITP's, progress, etc.) Support for the identification, tendering, negotiation, and management of, local subcontractors Management of all site spares and consumables in adherence to commercial contracts Lead coach and mentor to enhance the team's technical knowledge including the VOC of technicians as required. Ensure the Team has the required skill and knowledge to perform the work safely Maintain documentation including drawings, OEM documentation, procedures, safety documentation etc. as it relates to the site(s). Subcontractor and procurement management Operational and Technical Project Management Deliver scopes as required in the O&M Service Contracts with strategic partnerships. Attend Client meetings. Support Project and engineering teams to conduct site investigations and assessments of performance Provide progress reports and other status updates to the client and Management when required. Develop and implement O&M manuals, procedures, and plans in conjunction with Project Manager. Nominated Electrical Supervisor for the relevant state as applicable Ensuring all incidents including Near Misses are reported and investigated as per procedures Continual promotion of identifying speak up issues, Promote and Lead WHSEQ initiatives and campaigns Ensuring site safety including monitoring Team and subcontractors including after hours as necessary. Ensuring all Plant, Equipment, tools and PPE are fit for purpose and are used correctly Other duties as assigned. NOTE: Out of hours and varied hours will be required from time to time to support operational requirements. Travel will be required regularly between sites, as well as head office, with the ability to stay away from home for short durations at a time. Knowledge Knowledge and/or application of Power Electronics for utility scale renewable projects Basics of electrical engineering, Main components of HV/LV systems and communication networks, Utility scale solar or renewable Operations and Maintenance Skills Safety management, including electrical risk management. Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Strong organisational skills. High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience Experience in the role of Site Manager on operational site is highly desirable. Minimum 2 years in Operations and Maintenance experience of utility scale Solar or renewable projects (or transferrable experience) HV experience preferred. Experience and training in utility scale inverter technology preferred. Qualifications Electrical Qualification (Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics preferred) or other technical training to be evaluated Electrical Licence for the relevant state (preferred) LVR/CPR certificate First Aid certificate Working at Heights desirable Reporting to Project Manager Location Chinchilla QLD Hours Nominal 40h week.
