Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Principal Spatial Administrator to oversee and optimise a large-scale enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) for a key local government organisation. In this role, you will: • Manage and maintain the Council’s enterprise GIS and spatial data environments • Oversee installation, configuration, and optimisation of ArcGIS platforms, web mapping portals, mobile applications, and cloud systems • Ensure data integrity, system performance, and security compliance • Provide expert technical advice on GIS matters and act as the escalation point for complex issues • Design and execute advanced spatial analyses, models, and visualisations • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify system improvements and deliver efficient GIS services • Stay abreast of emerging spatial technologies, methodologies, and industry trends About You: • Extensive experience managing complex GIS environments using ESRI ArcGIS Platform (Pro, Enterprise, Online) and FME • Strong proficiency in data modelling, scripting (Arcade, Python, SQL), and spatial analysis • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement of spatial systems and deliver data-driven insights • Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Degree in Geographic Information Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent relevant experience This is a fantastic opportunity to lead GIS operations within a forward-thinking organisation, applying your spatial systems expertise to support smart, data-driven decision-making.
