About the Role As the Imports Customer Service Specialist , you will play a crucial role in managing import shipments from start to finish, ensuring each consignment runs smoothly and clients receive exceptional service. You'll coordinate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams while maintaining full visibility of all import activities — from documentation to delivery. This position suits someone with a strong background in freight forwarding or international logistics who enjoys problem-solving, building client relationships, and working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Act as the main contact for import clients , providing shipment updates, tracking, and pricing information. Manage end-to-end import operations , including bookings, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination. Process and verify import documents such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations . Troubleshoot any delays, customs issues, or documentation discrepancies to ensure smooth cargo flow. Maintain accurate client records and reporting on delivery performance and service metrics. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with trade and customs regulations . Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and service partners. Skills & Experience 2-4 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export operations . Sound knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs processes. Proficient in freight management systems (TMS/ERP) and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking abilities. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet global time-sensitive deadlines.
