Following a successful four-year transformation journey, GIA is entering its next strategic phase and seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation nationally. This role offers genuine purpose and the opportunity to shape the future of an essential Australian industry. About the Opportunity Reporting to a professional, skills-based Board, the CEO will: Lead a respected national organisation with strong foundations and a clear strategic platform for growth Strengthen advocacy for growers and elevate industry influence with government and key stakeholders Continue building the industry-shaping partnership with Bunnings through the Greenlife Statement of Principles Oversee levy-funded R&D programs and national biosecurity responsibilities Grow and diversify revenue through partnerships, grants and commercial initiatives Lead a committed national team and values-led culture Advance GIA’s role as a trusted, impactful and progressive industry leader About You You are an influential executive with: Experience working in complex stakeholder environments (industry bodies, government, peak organisations, agribusiness, sustainability or policy sectors) Credibility in advocacy, government relations or public affairs Proven leadership of strategy, performance and organisational growth Financial and commercial acumen Exceptional relationship capability, communication and influence Strong alignment with purpose-driven leadership and national impact Industry experience in horticulture, agriculture or sustainability is an advantage but not essential .
