About the Role The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is an integral member of the West Moreton Health (WMH) Executive Leadership Team, leading the financial management and compliance, procurement, and supply chain management for WMH. This includes providing strategic advice to the Board, the Health Service Chief Executive (HSCE) and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure financial performance targets and imperatives are met. The role is critical in ensuring WMH is in a strong and sustainable financial position to meet the challenges associated with projected population growth in the West Moreton community. As CFO you will be accountable for the Finance Services budget of $87 million and 59 full‑time equivalent (FTE) roles and, in consultation with the HSCE, will manage the WMH budget, which totals $1.3 billion (with over 4,790 FTE). About You Success in formulating comprehensive annual financial plans addressing revenue and capital considerations, translating income generation and cost improvement directives from the HSCE and Board into clear, measurable financial targets aligned with the annual financial plan. Extensive expertise in securing optimal outcomes through complex government negotiations, combined with a detailed and advanced understanding of health purchasing and funding arrangements. Highly developed leadership and management skills, with the demonstrated capacity to build and nurture high‑performing teams while applying resource management principles to ensure optimal allocation of resources in pursuit of organisational goals. Exceptional consulting, communication, and interpersonal skills that facilitate the establishment of strong business partnerships and enable positive influence within environments characterised by continuous change, organisational transformation, and heightened performance accountability. Executive‑level proficiency in communication, negotiation, persuasion, and relationship management, with proven experience in devising strategies for engaging and consulting with government entities, stakeholders, professional bodies, consultants, contractors and the wider community. Executive leadership experience in managing and coordinating internal teams alongside external consultants and multidisciplinary project groups, exercising sound judgement and delivering effective responses under high‑pressure conditions.
