The Role: We are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to join our team. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring our product range aligns with market demand and business objectives. This is a strategic role focused on merchandising, profitability, and category management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement buying strategies for assigned categories. Source, evaluate, and select products from suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to maximise profitability. Analyse sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to inform buying decisions. Manage stock levels, inventory turnover, and supplier performance. Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and operations teams on product launches and promotions. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements. Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience as a Retail Buyer or similar role in merchandising/procurement. Strong understanding of retail markets, trends, and consumer behaviour. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, or related field preferred. Demonstrated experience in retail buying or merchandising.
