About the role In this dynamic role, you will be at the heart of Legal Aid Queensland's Criminal Law Services, ensuring the seamless operation of court proceedings and legal support. From managing information for Magistrates, District, and Supreme Court call-overs to coordinating rosters and providing essential support to duty lawyers, no two days will be the same. You'll engage directly with clients, including those in custody, assisting with legal aid applications and ensuring timely follow-ups. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the accurate allocation of cases and distribution of court outcomes to our in-house and external practitioners. Collaborating with justice system stakeholders, you will act as a key liaison for listing matters, while contributing to system improvements by troubleshooting licensing issues and maintaining operational efficiency. All of this will be done with a shared commitment to service excellence and a drive to make meaningful contributions to Queensland's justice system. About you To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: Legal administrative experience, with the ability to work independently and use IT systems effectively (e.g. Microsoft Office and organisation-specific programs). Knowledge of legal practices, ideally in criminal court listings, with an understanding of trauma-informed principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and clients with complex needs. The ability to provide courteous, professional, and prompt services in a fast-paced environment.
