We deliver flexible and responsive non-clinical, holistic, recovery-focused psychosocial supports for up to 12 months, support is provided predominately in the community but can sometimes include home visits. The role involves being the key worker and primary point of support for the client and will conduct ongoing and regular reviews of client recovery goals. Get discounts on private health insurance, gym memberships and travel and so much more Recognition Programs – If you thrive in an environment where we value recognition and rewarding employees on ac hievements , we take are acknowledged Career Advancement Opportunities – We provide ample career advancement opportunities at WMQ , offering diverse pathways for growth and professional development Your Role as Mental Health Recovery Worker You’ll deliver person-centred , holistic and responsive nonclinical recovery focused psychosocial supports by : Working within the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Ensuring individual and team practice is in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation including the Human Services Quality Framework and the National Mental Health Standards Working in accordance with psychosocial rehabilitation, social inclusion and recovery orientated practice frameworks C onduct ing thorough psychosocial assessments, develop, implement and review individual recovery plans through individualised goal planning, progress monitoring and regular reviews which are flexible and responsive to the individual’s needs and achievement of goals in partnership with clients and key stakeholders Provid ing crisis support and safety planning as Provid ing assertive and practical support to access services related to individual needs. Outreach and in home/community-based support Facilitat ing linkage to ongoing community supports as necessary e.g., primary care providers, community sector agencies (for example, drug and alcohol services, community health, housing/ accommodation services) Support ing to engage in community services (including the Group based Peer Program) that focus on peer support, skill development, enabling community integration and family support & Linkages to community participation (volunteering), employment or study through local partner connections Assist ing the client to resolve barriers to remaining well in the community - independent living and transitions, improved relationships with neighbours, hobbies and recreation, budgeting etc What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualifications in community, social welfare, health or a related discipline Experience working within a recovery orientated service framework for mental health Passionate about making a positive change in the lives of people managing mental illness Understanding of the principles of recovery in the mental health setting Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the issues associated with living with a mental illness Demonstrated experience working with people with complex mental health support needs across the phases of service delivery including assessment, recovery-oriented practices, community engagement and evaluation of services delivered Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment including being accountable for the effective delivery of client services Demonstrated effective PC skills including MS Office and related applications packages (including reporting) A Valuable A ddition, Yet Not a Must-Have! Experience providing care coordination within a mental health setting Understanding of the principles and standards of the Disability Services Act (Qld 2006) and the National Mental Health Standards and how they relate to providing effective and accountable services.
