As they continue to modernise their technology landscape, they’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong Angular experience to help shape and deliver the systems that underpin their core services. This is a role where your technical expertise, particularly in building clean, performant, and maintainable Angular applications, will directly influence how thousands of people access education every year. You’ll work across complex, high-availability systems, building and maintaining software that is functional, reliable, and built to scale. What you will be doing Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions. Design and develop high-quality front-end applications using Angular, delivering intuitive and responsive user experiences. Contribute to the full stack with back-end services built in Java and Spring Boot. Participate in end-to-end delivery from planning and coding through to testing, deployment, and support. Contribute to continuous integration and deployment practices, ensuring high standards of automation and release reliability. Identify opportunities to enhance performance, optimise processes, and strengthen system security. Work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure smooth integration and seamless user experiences. About you You are an experienced software engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex problems with clean, maintainable code. You have a particular passion for crafting elegant, scalable Angular front ends that bring complex systems to life. You’ll bring: Proven experience in Angular development (v10 ideally) and strong understanding of front-end architecture and best practices. Hands-on skills with Java, Hibernate, Spring Boot, JavaScript, PowerShell. Solid understanding of databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and ideally exposure to NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB). Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and message-based systems. Knowledge of AWS Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools such as Ansible. Familiarity with automated testing (JUnit, Selenium, JMeter) and modern development approaches like TDD/BDD. Experience working in Agile teams, ideally with exposure to ITIL-based environments. A degree in Computer Science or a related field will be highly regarded. Why join?
