Build and Embed Capability Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of network and dynamic modelling tools, processes, and Generator Performance Standards (GPS) studies. Build internal capability through coaching, training, and technical guidance to ensure consistent, high-quality modelling and analysis. Develop and maintain model governance frameworks, management plans, and procedures to ensure reliability and integrity of modelling practices. Drive innovation in connection studies, modelling approaches, and use of emerging technologies. 2. Provide Technical Expertise Act as the Subject Matter Expert for dynamic and transient modelling, performance benchmarking, and GPS studies (R0–R2) for sub-transmission connections. Develop and maintain electrical network models using DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, and Siemens PSSE. Coordinate model alignment and data sharing across internal teams, TNSPs, DNSPs, market operators, and lead alignment efforts with other utilities, stakeholders and AEMO. 3. Support Network Planning and Investment Deliver technical insights for sub-transmission planning and investment proposals, ensuring modelling underpins robust, evidence-based decisions. Contribute to business cases for network augmentation and reinforcement based on system performance and emerging trends. Support regulatory reporting obligations and provide expert advice to enhance planning and operational outcomes. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (minimum). Proven experience leading change, building processes, and implementing digital tools or modelling capabilities. Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with ability to simplify and optimise complex processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly. Demonstrated relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork. Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
