The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cultural Safety Liaison to join our team in Harvey, WA. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth transition for new and existing multicultural employees by assisting with onboarding, accommodation, and cultural integration. As part of the Events and Cultural Services team, you will support employees in adjusting to life in Australia, providing practical guidance, welfare assistance, and essential services to create a safe and welcoming environment. If you have a passion for cultural engagement, problem-solving, and community support, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact. The Role Assist new employees in adjusting to Australian life, including banking, Q-Fever appointments, safe driving education, and social norms. This role would be expected to work standard hours Monday to Friday and then every second weekend. Organise and participate in weekend activities such as shopping trips and sporting events. Support new employees with accommodation arrangements, including sourcing, preparation, and maintenance. Conduct weekly health checks on housing and maintain accurate records. Assist with transport needs, including driving a 12-seater bus. Support onsite operations, including canteen, laundry, and cleaning duties. Maintain grounds and gardens in line with agent requirements. Report any welfare concerns to the Events and Cultural Services Manager. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to engage with a culturally diverse workforce. A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage large datasets accurately. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. A valid driver’s license (ability to drive a 12-seater bus preferred). A current Australian driver’s license (ability to drive a 12-seater bus or larger preferred). Safe Food Handling Certificate (desirable).
