Transport Manager We’re seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our client's dynamic logistics operations team. This role calls for a professional with strong experience in container cartage, proficiency in freight tracker systems, and a solid grounding in regulatory compliance and operational structure. About you: 5-10 years’ hands-on experience in container cartage operations Skilled in using freight tracking / freight-management systems Deep understanding of relevant transport regulations, driver hours, licensing, vehicle maintenance, records-keeping and safety obligations. Proven ability to bring structure, process and discipline to an operational team: developing workflows, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring performance. Strong leadership and communication skills - you’ll manage drivers, transport staff, liaise with clients and carriers. Analytical mindset: ability to monitor KPIs, optimise efficiency and cost-control in a logistics/haulage environment. Key responsibilities: Oversee container cartage scheduling, dispatch and freight-movement tracking end-to-end Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant regulations, licences, driver hours, vehicle maintenance, loading/weight limits etc Lead and mentor the transport team: set structure, define roles, implement processes, monitor performance, drive continuous improvement. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external carriers and clients; resolve operational issues swiftly. Prepare reporting on transport operations, cost-efficiency, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a transport manager position. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in logistics software; experience with Freight Track is advantageous. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
