The Company: A sensational sports events agency that are based in Phillip Island are looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a fixed-term full-time contract. The sports agency has a wonderful reputation in the space for delivering on all requirements for their clients and going above and beyond to make their clients events are success. Position Terms: Full-time 6-Month Contract Working full-time on-site, and occasionally in the office Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 plus super pro rata for the contract period The Role: The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of all event operations for clients. Working collaboratively with both internal and external team members, the Project Manager will oversee the engagement of the internal workforce, and management of event stakeholders, suppliers and contractors to effectively plan, organise, and deliver all operational requirements. Key Responsibilities include; Acting as the main point of contact on site for all related event-related issues. Total management of all Agency staff, vehicles and assets at assigned major events. Collaborate and communicate with clients and external partners on a regular basis, assigning and actioning project tasks allocated and ensuring timely outcomes and resolutions are met. Plan, procure and manage the end-to-end delivery of event operations and logistics requirements including identifying suitable suppliers, preparation of specifications, procurement in line with clients’ requirements, purchasing and contract management to ensure the successful outcome of all aspects of the event. Budgeting, contracts management, procurement, and financial tracking. Assist the Workforce Coordinator with recruitment and rostering including approving shifts. Lead event start-ups, managing and directing staff across all tasks required. Prepare and deliver staff inductions for each event, including license verification and completion of required documentation. Oversee and manage the development of detailed event plans, permit applications and approvals. Prepare SWMS for each event, ensuring staff are signed onto the relevant documents. Lead our team to install infrastructure as required, ensuring staff work safely and in line with OHS regulations. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have experience in the delivery of complex, rolling mass participation outdoor events across multiple venues, including event logistics, staff scheduling as well as volunteer management, traffic management and risk management. Full availability for the contract duration is essential. Excellent stakeholder relationship management experience including event service providers, local councils, landholders, and emergency services. Rostering, scheduling, and planning skills. Experience in producing event materials such as production schedules, site maps, course maps and event documentation. Well-developed problem solving/analytical skills, including the ability to improvise within changing circumstances. The ability to travel interstate frequently during the contract as well as the ability to work out of hours including weekends and public holidays.
