Retail Manager – Premium Luxury Brand Location: Melbourne Travel: Regular travel to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and interstate locations About the Role We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee multiple luxury boutiques across Australia. This position is responsible for leading and optimising retail performance, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and maintaining the highest operational and visual standards across all locations. Reporting to the Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, managing profitability, and developing high-performing boutique teams. The role requires strategic oversight, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of luxury retail environments. Key Responsibilities Operational Excellence Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple boutiques, ensuring adherence to company standards and operational procedures. Maintain premium presentation standards and ensure merchandising strategies are executed effectively. Manage store rosters, inventory levels, and compliance with safety and security policies. Sales & Financial Management Monitor boutique sales performance and identify opportunities to achieve and exceed targets. Collaborate with the Brand Manager on sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting. Ensure payroll and cost controls align with business objectives. Leadership & People Development Recruit, train, and mentor Boutique Managers and retail teams. Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans. Foster a positive, high-performance culture across all boutiques. Customer Experience Uphold exceptional client service standards and manage escalated customer issues with professionalism. Support the implementation of customer service strategies and KPIs across all stores. Training & Development Lead the creation and execution of retail training programs to ensure consistent service and operational excellence. Ensure all team members receive comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training. Retail Projects & Events Support new boutique openings, refurbishments, and special projects. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on in-store events and activations. Skills & Experience Minimum 8 years of retail management experience, ideally within the luxury or premium retail sector. Proven success in driving sales and profitability across multiple sites. Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams. Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). A results-driven approach with enthusiasm, energy, and attention to detail.
