We’re looking for an experienced full-stack engineer to work on tools helping bridge the gap between our geophysics teams and our business development team. In this role, you’ll work with one of our geophysics software teams on designing and improving the tools to manage and plan projects using our geophysics software on our cluster. You’ll also work closely with our business development team by gathering their requirements and implementing them in best-practice ways. Responsibilities: Iteratively prototype, design, implement, test, and maintain web systems, applications, and integrations Interact with the geophysical software team and the business development team to gather requirements Engage with peers in regular constructive code & design reviews Collaborate on estimation, prioritisation & scheduling for rapid product iterations Troubleshoot and resolve production issues not otherwise resolvable by first-level support and/or operations teams Mentor exceptional junior or intern developers Requirements: Demonstrable proficiency in C#/.NET Solid understanding of modern web technologies and engineering principles (particularly for security, performance, and API design & management) Demonstrable proficiency in building production-deployable web systems & interfaces using frameworks to handle core infrastructure (but a solid grasp of when & how to take the reins) Excellent written and spoken business and technical English Familiarity with software development processes and practices in an agile continuous integration environment (specific technologies and processes are a plus, but not required) Impeccable professional references or a recognisable contribution to open source projects Experience with the following will be highly regarded: Proficiency in other general purpose development languages such as Java, Python, or Similar Experience with ASP.NET Solid experience with Linux environments for both development and runtime Experience with geophysics software, HPC computing or business development tooling We offer: An international team with some of the best software engineers from all over the world A low overhead, flat management structure designed to minimise bureaucracy so you can focus on what you’re great at The flexibility to responsibly manage your own working times & locations and a true work-life balance Opportunity to participate in organised social events with like-minded colleagues DISCLAIMER The offer is subjected to pre-employment screenings that may include, but are not limited to: Verification of your right to work in the respective location Provision of applicable and relevant qualifications Nationally approved criminal history check
