The Role We’re seeking an experienced Technology Architect with a strong track record in complex ICT environments and a passion for modernisation. This role supports a major transformation program, where you’ll lead the design and evolution of enterprise platforms and application landscapes across regulated public sector environments. You’ll combine strategic architectural leadership with hands-on technical execution, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable ICT solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the assessment, design, and management of ICT domains and application landscapes to support modernisation goals. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the current ICT environment and future-state architecture. Provide hands-on technical leadership and implementation expertise with a strong ‘doer’ mindset. Collaborate with project managers, developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. Identify risks and opportunities within the technology environment and develop mitigation and optimisation strategies. Drive the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Support governance frameworks and ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations. What You’ll Need Demonstrated expertise managing complex ICT domains and enterprise platforms within federal government or large regulated public sector organisations. Strong understanding of government-specific technology frameworks, security standards, and compliance requirements. Proven experience leading ICT modernisation and transformation initiatives, including application portfolio management and platform lifecycle oversight. Ability to integrate legacy and emerging technologies in a cohesive architecture. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across policy, technical, vendor, and executive domains.
