The kind of work that stays with you You know the difference it makes when care is consistent. When residents recognise you. When they open up because they trust you. That’s what this role offers: one week each month where medicine slows down and your presence genuinely matters. The Role: You’ll provide ongoing clinical care across several aged care facilities in Condobolin, Orange, Dubbo and Mudgee, working one week per month from Monday to Thursday. Each visit brings familiarity and follow-through to residents who rarely get to see the same doctor twice. You’ll be supported by experienced nursing and allied health teams who know their residents and keep things running smoothly between your visits. They’ll have your notes, follow-ups and observations ready so you can arrive and focus on the work that matters most: the medicine, the people, the relationships. Travel and accommodation are fully arranged, making each rotation simple and seamless from start to finish. At $250 per hour, you’re paid for time well spent, not for chasing throughput or maximising billings. Why You’ll Love It Time to practise properly, with unhurried consults and space to listen Reliable, capable nursing support that helps you focus on care, not coordination Continuity that counts, with residents who look forward to your return Purpose without burnout, a single focused week that complements your existing life Simplicity, with travel and accommodation handled for you What You Bring: You’re clinically confident, kind and grounded, someone who values connection as much as competence. You hold FRACGP or FACRRM, with unrestricted AHPRA registration (19AB exemptions can be discussed). You know what good medicine looks like and you want to deliver it where it’s needed most.
