Work, Health & Safety Manager 12-month Max term contract Camberwell, VIC We’re seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead our WHS Business Partnering function and strengthen our safety culture across a diverse and meaningful organisation. About the Role The WHS Manager plays a key leadership role, partnering with operational leaders and WHS professionals to enhance safety performance and embed a proactive safety mindset. As the WHS Manager, you’ll provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement, and support the execution of the organisations Enterprise WHS Plan. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our people, clients, and communities. Key Responsibilities Lead and coach a team of WHS professionals to build and sustain a positive safety culture. Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, develop solutions, and drive performance improvements. Provide expert guidance on WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice. Monitor safety performance, analyse trends, and implement strategies for improvement. Support WHS consultation and collaboration across the organisation. Facilitate engagement with WHS regulators and ensure compliance with Baptcare’s WHS Management System. Deliver high-quality customer service to internal stakeholders while balancing strategic and operational priorities. About You You’re a people-focused safety leader who combines technical expertise with strong relationship and influencing skills. You think strategically, act collaboratively, and can translate WHS principles into practical actions that make workplaces safer and more effective. You’ll bring: 5 years’ experience leading WHS professionals across multi-site operations. Proven ability to coach and develop teams and leaders in WHS practices. Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong understanding of both Victorian and Model WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. Commercial acumen and the ability to align safety outcomes with business priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
