Maintenance Technician(Maintenance Fitter) Location: Narangba, QLD Full-time | Day Shift | Manufacturing Environment Our client is a proudly Australian-owned manufacturer of cleaning, hygiene, and chemical products, supplying industrial customers across Australia. We're expanding our maintenance team and looking for a hands-on technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and running efficiently. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of processing, blending, and packaging machinery within our Narangba manufacturing facility. This is a practical, on-the-tools role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting and takes ownership of plant reliability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and production equipment Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults quickly and effectively Support production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to safety improvements Work closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations About You Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning, or similar Experience in a manufacturing or processing environment (chemical, food, FMCG, or similar preferred) Sound mechanical aptitude with exposure to pumps, mixers, conveyors, and fillers Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow maintenance schedules Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, can-do attitude Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement What We Offer A stable, growing Australian manufacturer with modern facilities Competitive salary and genuine work-life balance Supportive team environment and opportunities for growth Monday to Friday roster (occasional overtime when required) *Only applications with full work rights will be considered.
