This role is pivotal in managing complex contract documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and facilitating communication between subcontractors and the project team. You will play a key role in preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts, managing variations and claims, and ensuring timely payments. The Project The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Project includes the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a large-scale desalination plant, with first production expected in 2028. The scope includes marine works and tunnels, a seawater intake system, reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical, and bulk earthworks. Key Accountabilities Maintain a comprehensive understanding of head contracts and subcontract templates, ensuring timely administration of notices Prepare and compile contract documentation in collaboration with project and commercial managers Coordinate subcontractor tendering, negotiation, recommendation, and contract execution Ensure subcontractors meet all pre-commencement requirements including insurance and statutory obligations Prepare and negotiate progress claims and extension of time claims with clients Manage tender evaluations and recommendations for subcontractor selection Process subcontract variations and assess extension of time claims Finalise claims and secure Contract Value Agreements to support project completion Required Skills and Competencies Required Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years of experience Proven experience in senior-level contract administration within large infrastructure or construction projects Strong understanding of head contracts and subcontract templates Ability to manage contract documentation and ensure compliance with timing and procedural requirements Skilled in preparing scopes of work and coordinating subcontractor tendering and negotiations Knowledge of subcontractor approval processes including insurance and statutory compliance Proficiency in preparing and negotiating progress claims and extension of time claims Experience in finalising claims and securing Contract Value Agreements Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills What We Offer At ACCIONA, we provide a dynamic and inclusive work environment where employees are empowered to grow their careers.
